If you have been part of Elevate Your Style from Episode 3, the name Vibe King would not be new to you. True to his name, Vibe King Michael Mustapha (Vibekingmiki) was recently named UKAWA Wedding MC of the Year 2025 in London. One more proof that the story we tell ourselves through clothes, through names, through identity truly matters.
We recently had a conversation with Michael Mustapha, also known as Vibekingmiki, about what it takes to elevate a room and the people inside it. What it means to own space. To own identity. To express yourself without boundaries.

What stood out immediately was not the award. It was the consistency. Long before the stages in London, there was an office in Nigeria. A room filled with serious colleagues. Routine. Structure. Predictability. And in that environment, Michael decided that joy deserved a seat at the table. He organised office parties. He rallied his bosses to contribute. He created moments where there were none. Not because he had a title. But because he understood energy.
They called him Vibe King. Not as branding. But as recognition. That detail matters. Because elevation rarely begins on a stage. It begins in small rooms where no one is clapping.
Today he hosts weddings, corporate gatherings, anniversaries and corporate conferences. But what he actually does is more nuanced. He reads the room. He studies the age range. He speaks with intention. He arrives early. He prepares games. He visualises the flow of the event before it begins. He understands when to amplify and when to disappear into the background. He knows that sometimes the difference between a good event and a great one is simply timing.
He believes events should be more than events. They should be documented memories. Moments captured for the future. His phrase, Make Events Great Again, is not political. It is positional. It is his way of standing out in a crowded industry by infusing content, creativity and personality into every room he steps into.

When I asked him what he would say to someone dreaming of becoming an MC or stepping into the events industry, his answer was simple but grounded. ‘Be yourself. Be different. Do not copy anyone’.
You can learn from those ahead of you. You should study them. Watch them closely. Observe how they command rooms. But never lose your own rhythm trying to mirror someone else’s. He spoke about the importance of sharpening your skill. Watching different wedding MCs. Studying delivery. Studying timing. Studying transitions. Not casually, but intentionally. And then he said something that reflects the heart of elevation. Stay consistent. No lazy days. Because talent without repetition fades. But identity strengthened daily compounds. Listening to him speak, one thing became clear. Style is not fabric first. It is presence first.
The way you carry your voice.
The way you control atmosphere.
The way you make strangers feel connected.
That is style and that is why this story matters to our community.
Elevate Your Style was never just about wearing a suit well. It has always been about owning who you are in any room you enter. Michael joined the movement at Episode 3. He showed up. He stayed present. He grew publicly. And now he carries a title that matches the identity he declared years ago.
There is a lesson in that. The names we answer to shape us and refine us. The identity we choose to embody eventually introduces us.

Vibe King is no longer just a nickname from an office in Nigeria. It is a lived reality on stages across London. And if you have been part of this movement from the early episodes, you have watched that evolution in real time. Elevation is not noise. It is repetition. And this is what it looks like when someone commits to becoming.
