The Linen, the Love, and the Luggage

When I think of my most memorable vacation, it’s not just the destination that comes to mind, it’s the dance between vibes, outfits, and love that made it unforgettable.

Planning a vacation with my wife is always a beautiful tug-of-war. One of our favorite debates happens just before we zip the suitcases shut. For me, it’s all about packing essentials. For her, it’s about being ready for every single possible moment. She says I under pack. I say I pack with purpose.

But over time, I’ve learned that packing is not just about clothes, it’s about capturing the feeling of the trip before it even begins. There are three things I always keep in mind before choosing outfits:

The vibe of the vacation. Are we chilling by the beach, strolling through a historic city, or hopping from rooftop dinners to market mornings? How long we’ll be there. Each day deserves its own rhythm and look. The season. Summer calls for linen that breathes and moves with the wind. Winter? That’s when velvet steps in, with its texture and quiet luxury.

Describe your most memorable vacation.
