Decluttering My Plate

When thinking about where to reduce clutter in life, I realized one area I’ve been overindulging in: food. At one time, I ate for taste and nutrients—simple and intentional. But lately, I’ve been eating like a glutton, letting cravings guide me rather than balance. The wake-up call came a few days ago when I saw a picture of my stomach. My reaction? “Wow.” It wasn’t the “wow” of admiration, but the “wow” of realization.

The thing is, unlike a messy room or an overstuffed bag, I can’t leave my stomach at home—it’s with me everywhere. It’s mine, and I have to carry it around like a badge of my choices. That hit me hard, but it also reminded me I have the power to declutter this area of my life. Just as I’d sort through a closet, I’m starting to sort through my habits, prioritizing what nourishes me rather than what weighs me down.

Decluttering isn’t just about physical spaces—it’s about the choices we make every day. And for me, it starts with the plate.

Where can you reduce clutter in your life?
