Monday Blues

Blue says “I am dependable. I show up. I can be trusted. I understand responsibility, routine, and order. I don’t need attention to prove competence.”

From my experience and years in men’s tailoring, blue is the safe zone for men. Blue is the colour most men already live in, even if they have never thought about it. Navy suits. Denim jeans. Crisp blue shirts. It is the uniform of responsibility and reliability. Blue is what we wear when we want to be trusted. When we want to blend competence with calm. It is the colour of first impressions. Of boardrooms and beginnings. Of showing up even when we do not feel like it.

Blue does not shout. It steadies, but blue is also emotional.

The same colour that signals professionalism also carries introspection, discipline, and quiet resilience. Monday blues are not about sadness alone. They are about transition. Moving from rest into purpose. From intention into action.

When worn with awareness, blue becomes more than safe. It becomes grounding. It reminds us that consistency is strength. That showing up well, especially on ordinary days, is its own quiet victory.
