“Ọmọ tó ò ní bàbá òun ọlá, ẹnu ẹ lóhùn náà wà ún.”
The child who claims his father isn’t wealthy will soon understand what’s up 😂
Growing up, I never understood why my parents took Sundays so seriously. Thanksgiving Sundays were special, the best clothes came out, my parents matched fits, and after service we would stop at Mr Biggs or Tantalizers. I thought it was about looking good, but now I see it was gratitude.
Sundays taught them to pause, thank God, and celebrate life even when things weren’t perfect. Lately, I have caught myself putting off simple moments like that, gratitude, calling family, or dressing up just because.
If I wasn’t streaming service today, this would have been my outfit, a clean blend of blue and white to brighten the grey.
Maybe that is the real reminder, stop putting off what reconnects you to joy.
What have you been putting off doing? Why?
