Growth is not always loud or flashy. It doesn’t always come with a bank alert, a viral post, or a queue of customers. Sometimes, growth is quiet. It’s about understanding the level you’re in and what truly matters in that moment.
You need to define your own metrics for winning. What does progress look like for you right now?
When I started making clothes, profit wasn’t the goal. I just wanted to get garments on people, make mistakes, learn from them, and let others see what I could do. Then, my focus shifted, I needed content, visibility, presence. Over time, people who had been watching began to buy. That was growth.
Now, I’m doing more sales and offers to get attention. Because once you give people a great product, they’ll stick with you, until you give them a reason not to. Through all of this, my team has grown, our output has improved, and we’ve evolved.
But here’s the truth: you might have to lose in one area to gain in another. That’s not failure, that’s strategy. You can’t be frustrated about low sales if not enough people know what you do or have seen proof of it. Visibility, trust, and consistency take time.
So define your win. More money? Peace of mind? Creative freedom? More time with loved ones? Whatever it is own it. Keep growing in that direction. It may not always look like success to others, but it’s your story. And you’re building it, one move at a time.
