When I think of the foods I’d like to make, it’s less about what’s trending and more about what feeds the soul. I’m drawn to meals that remind me of home, of comfort, of connection. Foods that align with what I feel inside, rich soups, native rice dishes, fresh vegetables, fruits, and spices that awaken memory.
Stop looking on the outside, stay in tune with your heart and soul, feed it with food to help it nourish. I believe food should heal, inspire, and tell stories. And always know, like my Yoruba people will say: Oju koni giran, okan ni giran — it’s not the eyes that perceive, it’s the heart. That’s how I choose the kind of food I want to make — from the heart.
