When Time Doesn’t Exist

There are moments when time stops mattering.

Not because you’re doing nothing, but because you’re doing everything — everything that makes you come alive.

For me, I lose track of time when I’m styling. Not just matching colours or dressing up — but creating something that speaks before you even say a word. Style, for me, is language. It’s silent influence. I could spend hours adjusting a cuff, testing fabrics, or sketching a silhouette that doesn’t exist yet — and never once check the clock.

Same thing happens when I’m building — whether it’s my business, writing a lesson for the course, or crafting a Substack post like this. It’s like stepping into a zone where ideas pour out faster than I can catch them. I’m not writing for content’s sake — I’m writing to connect. With myself, and with you.

Then there’s conversation — the kind that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. That’s exactly what happened in my latest interview with Tolu Ajayi — a rising creative force who’s carving her lane at the intersection of fashion, photography, and content creation.

She’s one of those people who reminds you what’s possible when you mix vision with courage. From asking her dad for a loan to buy her first camera, to using fashion as a storytelling lens — Tolu has turned her boldness into a brand.

In this episode, she shares:

✅ How she turned a camera loan into a thriving creative journey

✅ The connection between fashion and photography through her eyes

✅ Why personal style is more than aesthetics — it’s storytelling

✅ What most fashion designers get wrong when working with photographers

When I’m in this space — creating, connecting, and building community — time fades. And I think that’s the sign you’re in alignment.

Now it’s your turn:
