What’s the oldest thing you own that you still use daily?
I don’t believe anyone truly owns anything—not even people; we’re just given access, a chance to experience or share something for a time. The oldest thing I’ve had access to and still use daily is my dad’s wisdom. Since I was young, I’ve drawn from it—through his counsel, his prayers, his quiet guidance, or simply the way he shows up for me with love. It’s something deeper than words can explain, and I’m endlessly grateful I’ve had the opportunity to grow with it my whole life.
Today, as we celebrate Father’s Day, I reflect with even more clarity on the weight he carries and the responsibility he shoulders with such grace. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there—especially mine.
