It takes wisdom to know you need a particular knowledge, and understanding is what gives you insight into the knowledge you’ve gotten. Wisdom again is the application of what you now know and understand, it’s a loop.
We gets wiser by the knowledge, the understanding, and the application of what’s learnt.
And wisdom isn’t one-size-fits-all. Solomon had political wisdom because he specifically asked for wisdom to govern the people. I guess he didn’t ask for wisdom to live the other part of his life, because no wise man would acquire 700 wives and 300 side chicks.
And that’s why James said, “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”
In all, we no fit wise pass God. Even me sef wey write this, I no wise. But yes, wisdom is the principal thing.
