Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you.

One random encounter that’s stayed with me happened after I hosted a wedding in Manchester. On my way out, I stopped by the Grand Hotel in the city center to use the restroom. While washing up, a stranger walked in. From his face and presence, I could tell he was African—one of those who had clearly spent time on the continent.
He mentioned he had seen me in the hotel lobby and followed me in just to get acquainted. He started the conversation by complimenting my appearance, and within just five minutes, we found ourselves deep in a meaningful exchange. Surprisingly, he offered insight and practical advice on a problem I’d been struggling with at the time—something personal and weighing heavily on me. His words brought clarity and peace in a way I didn’t expect from a stranger.
Though we had never met before, we exchanged numbers and have kept in touch ever since. He’s now based in America, but that brief encounter made a lasting impact on me.
God bless you, Waheed—you were truly sent in that moment.
