If I had the opportunity to sit my teenage self down over coffee and offer some advice, I would share a few hard-earned lessons.
First, nothing in life is permanent—both the highs and the lows. When things are going well, appreciate them fully, but don’t get too comfortable. And when challenges arise, remember that they, too, will pass. Every season of life has its purpose, and learning to embrace change will bring more peace and resilience.
Second, cherish the moments with family. Time moves quickly, and the people you love won’t always be around. Prioritize meaningful connections over distractions and make the most of the time you have with them.
Finally, your tongue and your thoughts shape your future. The words you speak and the beliefs you hold set the course of your life, so guard them carefully. Speak life, think positively, and align your mindset with the person you aspire to become.
If I had known these truths earlier, I would have worried less and lived with more intention. But if you’re reading this now, it’s never too late to start applying them.
What advice would you give to your teenage self?
