Earlier in the day, I stepped out for my first 10km run of the year. Isn’t it amazing how powerful our bodies are built? Despite the ice-freezing cold, I returned home feeling like I had switched on an internal heater—it was incredible.
During my run, I came across a group of lads also out for a jog, and I decided to join their party. It turned into an absolutely delightful run. Throughout the 10km distance, all they talked about was food, beer, and their upcoming race in March. Their energy made the run all the more enjoyable.
When I got home, I checked my daily blog prompt, and the question was: “What snack would you eat right now?” What a coincidence! To answer that, at this moment, to refill my fuel, I’d go for pounded yam, egusi, and ogufe (goat meat)—specifically the left leg of the goat. And don’t argue with me about whether that’s a snack—a snack is whatever I say it is.
So, over to you,
What snack would you eat right now?
