If thinking about the future were a crime, I’d be guilty as charged. I do try my best to tap myself on the shoulder and stay grounded in the present moment, but honestly, I love time traveling into the future. Not from a place of anxiety or fear, but from an eager anticipation of what’s to come. It’s almost as if I can’t wait to meet the version of life I’ve envisioned. However, there’s a downside—I sometimes forget that the moment I’m living in right now is the future I once dreamed of.

Do I think about the past? Absolutely. I dedicate time to reflecting on it because it offers me a sense of progress. It’s like flipping through the pages of a movie where I’m the protagonist, watching how far I’ve come. The past reassures me of the challenges I’ve overcome and the growth I’ve experienced—both in myself and in my environment. Some of those memories are heavy, a reminder of the deep struggles I’ve endured, but they also tell me that I’m still standing.
Still, if I had to choose, I spend more time obsessing over the future.

Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?
