Hi there! It’s been a while since we last spoke. Adulthood can be overwhelming and unpredictable, it is amazing how life can change unexpectedly, and we may feel overwhelmed by the responsibility of managing our own successes and failures. The challenge of paying bills can be daunting, especially when we feel unprepared due to a lack of guidance from our parents and teachers. Perhaps they were preoccupied with their own struggles, making it difficult to articulate concepts they were grappling with. Nevertheless, as adults, we are expected to navigate these challenges on our own. But it’s also a time of freedom and setting goals. Just know that there’s no pressure and you’re the architect of your own fortune. How have you been?
Over the years, I have personally evolved from a boy to a man with a full beard, lol :) i hate to admit that. I’ve been growing and evolving personally and professionally, just like you. Instead of seeing my work as a career or profession, I view it as an opportunity to explore my potential and live my life to the fullest. The younger me had his mind fixed of becoming a medical doctor, which leads to several disappointments and now i know that wasn’t the right path for me. But now, I view life as a journey with an uncertain destination and make the most of whatever opportunities that come my way. I focus on doing my best each day and trust that tomorrow will take care of itself.
I recently joined Dwcontent, a talent management agency and I feel there’s not a better time to reintroduce myself than now, As I have evolved from being a comedian to encompassing more, I have met new friends at every stage of my journey. As the numbers have grown, some have become confused about my work, so I feel it’s important to answer their frequent questions.
I go by the name Michael, also known as Xclusivemic. Aside from creating content, I hold the position of creative director at Twelvel9styles, a Fashion brand. For more than a decade, I have been an MC at numerous events, birthdays, and countless weddings. One of my notable achievements includes leading a project that secured the Guinness world record for the largest photo book, I’ve headlined my personal shows in different cities across Nigeria, When I’m not immersed in these pursuits, I find joy in activities like running, exercising, traveling, reading, writing, and blogging. Currently, I reside in London, England.
Back in 2015, I launched xclusivemic.com as a personal journal, enabling me to share my thoughts, connect with friends, assist men in improving their fashion, and document the events I host. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and having a blog felt like a natural fit. It was during my relocation to Bristol, England in 2021 that I truly realised I could take control of my life and the power of my blog. Those initial months were challenging, as I had to navigate a new city without the presence of friends or family. However, with my pen and journal in hand, I found solace in my love for fashion, writing, and reading, despite the hardships of starting anew and experiencing the loss of my mother due to a failed kidney transplant.
In August 2022, I embarked on a transformative 21-day writing journey that changed everything for me. This voyage has bestowed upon me a sense of purpose and a deeper appreciation for my talent, as well as my fashion brand, Twelve19styles, which originated on the bustling streets of Lagos, Nigeria in 2016. Over the years, I’ve been thrilled that my blog has served as a platform to educate men on enhancing their fashion, fitness, and faith. It has also become a medium through which I share my own experiences and guide others towards making better choices and learning from their own journeys. Additionally, I’m grateful for the opportunities to collaborate with various brands and create compelling content.
I firmly believe that dressing well transcends gender boundaries, and I’m passionate about helping individuals dress appropriately for diverse occasions. Beyond that, witnessing individuals live out their purpose, achieve their fullest potential, and make the most of their resources brings me immense joy.
